As Crosswind Communications’ Public Affairs practice leader, Samantha brings more than fifteen years of communications and public affairs experience to Crosswind clients, including more than a decade’s tenure on Capitol Hill.

Her roles as Press Secretary for the U.S. House Committee on Energy & Commerce, Deputy Chief of Staff/Communications Director for a senior Member of Congress and Chief of Staff to a newly-elected one, gave her a unique opportunity to be directly involved in every aspect of a congressional office.

Her extensive training in crisis communications; grassroots legislative and public affairs efforts; regulatory and policy issues; media relations; relationship- and coalition-building; and strategic message development has allowed her to participate in some of the most high-profile news events and legislative packages of the last fifteen years.

Since leaving Capitol Hill, Samantha has counseled Fortune 100 corporations, government agencies, non-profit institutions and political candidates. The proficiency she developed in Washington, combined with her ongoing commitment to professional development opportunities has positioned her as a sought-after advisor for successful public education, crisis communications, corporate branding and government, labor and media relations campaigns.
