Linda DiJohn brings more than 20 years of communications experience to her role leading Crosswind Communications’ Chicago presence, including creating and leading corporate reputation, integrated marketing and crisis management programs for some of the world’s most valuable brands.

Linda combines her consultancy with the best practices from her global agency experience and an unwavering commitment to exceptional client service.

A creative, insightful communicator, Linda has demonstrated success developing strategic programs that deliver results and achieve business objectives for clients in diverse industries, from global corporations to entrepreneurial start-ups.

Linda started her career as a newspaper reporter, developing a keen news sense, exceptional writing skill; and the ability to quickly analyze and articulate complex issues. Her public relations career in Chicago includes leadership positions with world-class agencies. She played a key leadership role in the corporate practice, directing the Kraft Foods, Limited Brands and True Value accounts as a senior vice president at Edelman, the largest independent public relations firm in the world.

As a senior vice president at Weber Shandwick, Linda directed the growing corporate reputation practice, providing strategic counsel on numerous accounts; and leading the Mars, Inc. and American Girl client relationships. She has a successful track record leading corporate brand, strategic media, executive visibility, corporate responsibility, marketing communications and organizational management programs.

Throughout her career, Linda has served as a candid, trusted advisor to numerous senior executives facing a crisis or dealing with a complex issue. Linda brings a calm head, strategic stakeholder focus and holistic view to the task. Her crisis experience is broad and deep including crisis protocol planning, senior counsel and on-call support on a broad range of issues from product safety/recalls to national activist campaigns to fatal accidents, management re-organization and layoffs. Most recently, she advised senior executives and managed response to the national peanut butter salmonella outbreak and recall.
